| Biography: Robert J. Resutek is a doctoral student in accounting at the University of Texas at Austin (expected graduation – 2008). He received his BBA from the University of Michigan (1998) and MAcc from the University of Michigan (1999). He worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (1999-2002) in their Business Recovery Services. At PwC, he specialized in assisting debtors restructure under Chapter 11. In addition, he also worked several out-of-court debt restructurings, consulting for various Fortune 500 lenders and debtors. He worked for FTI, Inc (2002-2003) in the same capacity as at PwC before entering the doctoral program in the summer of 2003. Robert’s research interests focus on understanding how accounting information maps into stock price. His current working papers examine the accrual anomaly, post-earnings announcement drift, and the dynamics of the residual income model. Robert’s teaching interests lie in the broad area of financial accounting. More specifically, he enjoys financial statement analysis and financial reporting. He believes that a strong understanding of financial accounting is critical to not only accounting majors, but all business majors who will be working in capacities where they will be creating, revising, and evaluating historical and future financial performance measured by accounting statements. Robert is married and has one son. He enjoys outdoor activities of all sorts, playing soccer, Texas barbeque, and Michigan Wolverine football victories. | |||
